What is Telemedicine?
Telemedicine is the exchange of medical information through electronic communications such as, laptop, cell phone, or tablet. This is something you can do from the comfort of your own home. Telemedicine can help bring you and your doctor together more efficiently! This is covered by Medicare, Humana, Blue Advantage, Aetna, Vantage, United Healthcare, UMR, and Blue Cross.
We offer telemedicine visits Monday-Friday

Telemedicine is covered by the following insurances:
Medicare and all Medicare replacements cover telemedicine for transitional care, med refills, results, followup visits, and sick visits. Patient is still responsible for their copay/deductible. Medicare also covers virtual check-ins using the telephone (phone call visits)
Humana covers telemedicine and phone call visits. Patient does not have to pay their copay/deductible.
Vantage covers telemedicine and phone call visits for high risk patients only. Patient does not have to pay copay/deductible
High risk includes; cancer, lung disease diabetics, elderly, immunocompromised, and those with a transplant.
Aetna commercial plans and Aetna Medicare covers telemedicine for any visit until September 30th. Patient does not have to pay copay/deductible.
Blue Cross covers telemedicine and phone call visits for both new and established patients. Patient pays their copay/deductible. CAN NOT DO telephone services for followup on test results, obtaining a referral, ordering a test, or medication refills.
United Healthcare covers telemedicine until September 30th. Patient pays their copay/deductible.
Cigna covers telemedicine and phone call visits until July 31st. Patient does not pay copay/deductible.

Remote Patient Monitoring |
Remote Patient Monitoring is simply a patient monitoring their vitals from home.
Our office has access to blood pressure cuffs you may use at home. This blood pressure cuff will send our office your results through an app. Your doctor will then review your results. If you are interested in taking one of these cuffs home, call our office at 337-527-6385
