Meet our new Nurse Practitioner, Allison Martin! 
​Allison is a board-certified Family Nurse Practitioner. She began her nursing career in 1999 working as an RN in a local hospital; she spent the next 21 years in various specialty areas including cardiac/telemetry, oncology, Bone Marrow Transplant, Intensive Care and the Emergency Department. Allison earned a Master’s Degree in Nursing from McNeese State University in 2020. She worked alongside Dr. Schlamp in her last semester of clinicals and developed a love for the clinic setting and the patients that Schlamp Family Medical Clinic serves.

A key part of managing diabetes is maintaining a healthy diet, exercising regularly, limiting alcohol intake and STOP SMOKING!
