​                                               WELCOMING ALLISON MARTIN, FNP
​Allison Martin is a board-certified Family Nurse Practitioner with a license to provide comprehensive family-centered care to patients of all ages in Louisiana. She began her nursing career in 1999 working as an RN in a local hospital; she spent the next 21 years in various specialty areas including cardiac/telemetry, oncology, Bone Marrow Transplant, Intensive Care and the Emergency Department. Allison earned a Master’s Degree in Nursing from McNeese State University in 2020. She worked alongside Dr. Schlamp in her last semester of clinicals and developed a love for the clinic setting and the patients that Schlamp Family Medical Clinic serves. Allison has a passion for providing care to patients from rural communities; she also has special interest in women’s and adolescent health.

Skin cancer is  the most common type of cancer. Doctors recommend checking your own skin at least once a month.
